Removal Costs Calculator
Check your removal costs with our calculator. It will give you a pretty close estimate of the number of vans and movers needed, as well as the potential moving costs.
How Our Removal Cost Calculator Works
Getting your moving estimate takes less than a minute:
-
List the furniture, appliances, boxes, and items you need help moving.
-
Based on the total volume, the calculator provides an accurate cost estimate. Prices may vary depending on distance, stairs or lifts, parking restrictions, or waiting time.
-
To confirm a final price or request more details, submit your move information including addresses, preferred date, required services, email, and phone number.
-
Our team reviews your inventory and either contacts you directly or sends an updated quote by email.
If your moving date isnโt confirmed yet, the removal costs calculator is an easy way to plan your moving budget in advance.
Additional Charges Not Shown in the Removal Costs Calculator
When planning your moving budget, please note that some additional charges may apply and are not always included in the removal costs calculator. These depend on the details of your move and local requirements:
-
Congestion Charge
Fees apply when driving through certain areas of Central London during restricted hours. -
Overnight Storage in the Vehicle
If access is not available on the same day, we may keep your belongings safely loaded in our vans overnight. This often applies to long-distance moves where loading takes place one day and delivery the next, such as moves to Scotland or Northern Ireland. -
Staff & Fuel Costs for Long-Distance Moves
Moves outside London or over longer distances may incur additional manpower and fuel costs, depending on the distance travelled. -
Parking and Parking Suspensions
Suitable parking for loading and unloading is essential. In some areas, this requires arranging a temporary parking suspension or paying for regulated parking.
All potential additional costs are clearly explained in advance, so you always know exactly whatโs included in your final quote.
What Affects Removal Costs in the UK?
Removal prices vary because every move is different. The most common cost factors include:
-
Property size and volume of belongings
-
Distance between collection and delivery addresses
-
Number of movers and vans required
-
Packing services and materials
-
Access issues such as stairs, lifts, or long carry distances
-
Parking restrictions and CPZs
-
Moving date and time (weekends and month-end are often higher)
Our calculator takes these factors into account to provide a practical estimate.
